Ventures at The National Eagle Center

On Nov 12, the Ventures class went to The National Eagle Center in Wabasha, Minnesota. While at the Eagle Center, they learned that there are many different types of Eagles in North America. One eagle that the Ventures students saw was Columbia. Columbia is one of the Eagle Center's permanent eagles that got hit by a van and has a wound in her right shoulder that doesn't allow her to fly. Ventures students got to see her eat rabbit meat and bath in the eagle observation room. Also, they saw live Eagles outside in Wabasha and inside in the Eagle exploratory. One person in Ventures said that the Eagle Center was a very enjoyable place. All students in Ventures enjoyed the bus ride to the center. Overall, most of the students in Ventures liked visiting the center.

Josh's First Science Project

I did my project on the skeletal and muscular system. I planned on doing a poster with diagrams of the bones and muscles. This project fit in with the sciencs standards and halloween. I learned that there are more than 600 muscles in the human body. Overall, I had a lot of fun doing this project and would like to do it again.

Indi's Europe Project!!!

Hi, my name's Indiana and I recently wrote two essays on the Berlin Wall and Queen Victoria. I began by doing research on the Berlin Wall. It was really interesting and I really got into it. I wrote the paper on the Berlin Wall first. It was a really good piece probably the best I have ever written. I then began research on Queen Victoria. That was interesting too, but I liked learning about the Berlin Wall better. I am very proud of both my essays and hope that I can teach others about the Berlin Wall and Queen Victoria.
